Leli
the lantern bearerThe moment dusk settles, Leli emerges from within the tree cracks. The lantern swings behind as the glowing stone casts eerie shadows.
A light green tea on Chinese sencha with lemongrass, chamomile and a hint of peppermint. Bright enough for the morning, gentle enough for the afternoon watch.

How to brew the lantern bearer.
One heaped teaspoon per cup. Water just off the boil, around 80 degrees; a full boil scalds green tea. Steep two to three minutes.
A teaspoon per cup and one extra for the pot. Lid on, let it sit, pour the lot before it stews.
The unhurried way. Let the leaves settle as it cools and sip once the steam softens.
Afterwards, the leaves go to the garden, not the bin.
Every entry leaves a print.
Each creature began as an ink drawing before it named a blend. The original illustrations are printed as standalone pieces at $5.95. Pair the print with its blend, or start the collection.
